Family chocolate shop on Avenida del Libertador, right in the center. Zelmar Guerrero opened it in 1968 in his home garage, the first chocolate factory in town; today his daughters run it. They still make everything daily with few machines and a lot of craft: the chocolate is tempered by hand, every bar is cut with a knife and each bonbon is decorated one at a time. They use calafate berries, jams and liqueurs from the area, and the white chocolate with calafate is one of the things visitors mention most. There are also alfajores, hot chocolate and assorted boxes of ¼, ½ and 1 kg to take home as gifts. Rated 4.4 stars with 340 Google reviews. With Calafate Pass you get 10% off when paying cash or debit.

Ask for a taste before you choose; they offer samples at the counter. Take home something with calafate, it's the flavor you won't find anywhere else. Note that it closes at midday, from 1 to 4 pm, and on Sundays.
